VESS has announced the dates for the 2024 Sea Slug Census and Big Blue is excited! This year the event will be taking place from 11th to 19th May. How many different species of these little jewels of the ocean will we be able to find? Last year 35 different species were identified. Will we beat that number this year? The more eyes the better so join us and see if we can document as many nudibranchs and sea slugs as we can all in the name of citizen science. We see nudibranchs on pretty much all of our dives but they can also be found in the murkier more muck diving sites. We will be putting on special dives so we can cover all habitat types over the 9 days of the event to try find as many as possible. All you need to join in is a camera, our staff will be on hand to act as expert nudity spotters.
